Recently there was a feud between her sister Jessica with Natalie Portman, 37, who is an actress, producer, and director as well. And the little Simpson has to say something about it!
Nowadays, actors go to different events and show to promote their movies and shows. While attending it, they are asked such tricky questions that their response hurt the emotions of the other actors or dragged into some kind of controversy.
A similar situation was experienced when the Academy Award winner, Natalie Portman came to promote her upcoming movie Vox Lux which was out on theatres on 7th December 2018.

The feud between Jessica Simpson and Natalie Portman
Natalie while promotions for her upcoming movie, Vox Lux had come for an interview with USA Today, shared her thoughts on double standards expected from a woman and as an example, she said Jessica’s raunchy cover photoshoot which was 20 years old.
The problem was not the photoshoot but Jessica, being a sex symbol stating that she was a virgin. Portman expressed,
“I remember being a teenager, and there was Jessica Simpson on the cover of a magazine saying “I’m a virgin” while wearing a bikini, and I was confused. Like, I don’t know what this is trying to tell me as a woman, as a girl.”
As soon as the 38-year-old actress Jessica came across about this news she was very disappointed hearing it from her contemporary actress and immediately asked for an apology for maligning her name by stating,
“the industry we work in often tries to define us and box us in.”
To which, Natalie also replied in an interview at the Build Series,
“I completely agree with you that a woman should be allowed to dress however she likes and behave however she likes and not be judged,’ she wrote in the comments to Jessica’s Instagram post. ‘I only meant to say I was confused — as a girl coming of age in the public eye around the same time — by the media’s mixed messages about how girls and women were supposed to behave.”
Adding,
“The news cycle needs new stories all the time, they’re looking for scandal, controversy, something new always”
Later Natalie apologized Jessica for hurting her feelings and emotions.

Ashlee’s Reaction and support to her elder sister
Ashlee being the little sister, of course, was not okay for whatever happened with her sister. When asked about all the controversy and feud, she said,
“I was so proud of my sister. She’s definitely a strong woman and she definitely stands up for herself.”
Moreover,
“I definitely supported my sister. I was proud of her.”
