Sally Field is a veteran American actress and director, who has won several awards including two Oscars, three Emmys, two Golden Globes, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She has notable roles to her name including ‘Forrest Gump’, and ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’. She was born on November 6, 1946, in Pasadena, California, and began her career on television, starring in the comedies Gidget (1965–1966), The Flying Nun (1967–1970), and The Girl with Something Extra (1973–1974). She made her film debut in Moon Pilot (1962) and later starred in films such as Norma Rae (1979), Places in the Heart (1984), Steel Magnolias (1989), Soapdish (1991), and Lincoln (2012). She also returned to television with roles in ER (2000-2006), Brothers & Sisters (2006-2011), and Maniac (2018). She made her Broadway debut in The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? (2002) and received a Tony Award nomination for The Glass Menagerie (2017). She is also the recipient of the National Medal of Arts (2014), the Kennedy Center Honor (2019), and the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award (2023)

The page quickly gained attention and received thousands of messages from fans who were saddened and confused by the news. However, the page was later exposed as a hoax, and Sally’s representatives confirmed that she was alive and well. They also urged fans not to believe everything on the internet

This was not the first time that Sally Field was subjected to a death hoax. In 2018, another rumor spread online that the actress had died. This was attributed to a confusion that people thought Sally had died, and not her mother, Margaret Field, who was also an actress.
